Description

Based off of the cancelled Lunex program
RSC’ newest project and follow up to the D.A.V program. The Lunar express system is the pinicale of technology, it has something for everyone. Low price, high crew capacity, and overall good looks. What are you waitng for? It includes a state of the art reusable lifting body and experimental aerospike lander. Let me ask you one more thing, do you like space? Do you like affordability? You do? Well, i just sold one.

In the late 50s and early 60s, NASA was trying to figure out how to put people on the moon. In the end two projects remained, the Lunex program or the Apollo program. We all know what ended up happening. Lunex was a direct ascent concept to put a space plane on the moon and consisted of a large lifter with 2 SRBs, a transfer stage, a landing stage, and a return stage. No orbital randevous. Lunex also would’ve put 3 people on the moon instead of 2 (I scaled it up to 6 for KSP)
Although lunex would’ve been cheaper and more efficient, it wouldve taken longer to develope and was turned down for Apollo instead.

Notes
Literally only two concept pictures of the lander exist so i had to go off of a 198 page description of the craft in order to fully create the lifter.

Controls
1 toggle fuel cell
KERBIN LANDING
You can try and land this but KSP and lifting bodies dont really mix so i wouldnt recommend it. Just use the parachutes instead.

A stock rocket called Lunar Express Space Plane (Project Lunex D.A.V). Built with 75 of the finest parts, its root part is dockingPort2.

Built in the VAB in KSP version 1.4.5.
