From commercial space startup Intuitive Space Technologies and Systems (ISpace) comes their first crewed vehicle the Z-3. Designed to be the most economic way to get to orbit, the Z-3 is quite the spacecraft. Funded to support the Pavlov stations and future space ventures by the KSP it is part of an initiative to reduce the stations reliance on the STV.

The Z-3 spacecraft is an extremely economic vehicle. Unlike other spacecraft which try to be multipurpose and capable, the Z-3 is really only cable of operating in the 80km-200km orbital range to transport crew to and from the station. It can also be launched unmanned in a logistics configuration. The future Z-3X will be more capable and able to service higher orbits but until than the Z-3 does it’s job very well.

The vehicle launches on the Zephyr 4D rocket, the 6th launcher in the Zephyr family. It is small and efficient, using the only one engine type which makes it easy to manufacture and lwoer costs. The complete system only costs 26000k which is very low for a 3 man vehicle.

This is 1 of 3 commercial styled crew vehicles I am gonna upload in the next few days. All 3 of these vehicles are cheap and unique from each other while also being inspired by real life commercial spacecraft.

So the vehicle isn’t really inspired by anything but definitely looks Russian so I guess it bears a resemblance to some of their vehicles but not by intention. The overall goal was to make an extremely economic crew system and I think I succeed.
