Description

A Rapid, Reusable Spaceplane
Boeing and the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency are collaborating to design, build and test a technology demonstration vehicle for the agency’s Experimental Spaceplane program. The spaceplane—called Phantom Express—would reinvent space missions for commercial and government customers by providing rapid, aircraft-like access to space. Within minutes, the autonomous, reusable spaceplane would launch its upper stage to deploy small satellites into low Earth orbit. It would then land on a runway to be prepared for its next flight.
- Boeing Spokesperson

This is a replica of the Phantom Express that was being designed by Boeing with the help of DARPA. The plane has a payload capacity of about 3000kg but the main selling point is that it can be rapidly reused. It’s goal was to do up to 10 launches in 10 days.

The program was cancelled in early 2020 just like every good space plane.

So the plane part is basically a flyback booster so it does need a bit of coordination to fly. I suggest you use FMRS https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/157214-151-flight-manager-for-reusable-stages-fmrs-now-with-recoverycontroller-integration/ with this so you can recover the actual plane.

Hope you enjoy and feel free to leave suggestions in the comments.
