Proven to lift up to 34 tons to 80-85 km orbit with ~350 m/s of Delta-V to spare.

Upgrade 12018.7.29: Re-complied and tested to be fully operational in KSP 1.4.5

Cut down version of Xylan 4, with 3x4 engines instead of 4x4 engines, shortened fuel tanks and wings. Since most cargo lacks the mass to warrant the Xylan 4 high lift capacity but rather needs large cargo bays, the Xylan 3 is more practical at lifting cargo for an overall cheaper price in that it cost 41% less in fuel to operate than the Xylan 4.

To Orbit Procedure:
1. Run off the runway at fullpower.
2. Pitch up to 20 degrees, maintain that pitch.
3. Switch engine mode {1} and close intakes {2} once speed begins to decrease above 22-23 km.
4. Shut off all engines once predicted apogee exceeds 80 km.
5. Coast in pro-grade orientation to minimize drag.
6. Circularize orbit at apogee, switch to just inner engines {3} for orbital manuvering

Returning from Orbit Procedure:
1. Reduce Apogee from ~80 km to -10 km with spaceport at Antipole.
2. Come into atmosphere with a 20 degree pitch up.
- You can slow down faster by pitching higher up, or flipping upside-down and pitching down. Negative pitching is not recommended.
3. If needed you can use the inner engines on jet mode to cruise to spaceport.
4. Land at spaceport below 100 m/s, put brakes on and pitch down.
- If you land above 100 m/s or long on the runway, use parachute to slow down faster.
