Medium Expendable Booster with 8 solid boosters. Requires no parts beyond Tech Level 6. Solids do most of the lifting while core stage does attitude control and final orbital insertion. Core Stage can also do burns to higher orbits/escape with smaller cargo loads. Great for Career Mode as it is reasonably cheap at >1,167 $/ton of cargo to LOK.

• Comes with optional fins to provide stable flight for very large fairings, generally you will not need the fins and it is recommend to remove them unless they are needed.

Can remove sets of boosters for smaller cargo loads:

MEB-6: Remove one pair of solids. Max 36 tons to orbit, 23 tons to escape

MEB-4: Remove the quad of solids, adjust one remaining pair of solids to full thrust and move its staging to a stage below the second (half thrust) pair. Max 28 tons to orbit, 17 tons to escape

MEB-2: Remove the quad of solids and a pair of solids, adjust the remaining pair of solids to full thrust. Max 19 tons to orbit, 10 tons to escape.
