Description

Version 4.1: Increased flap travel, increased rover spring and damping strength, added atmosphere analysis instrument.

Can go to Duna AND Ike in one mission, no refueling or orbital docking.

• This craft can land at any altitude on Duna.

• Need to repack parachutes to return to Kerbin.

Comes with its own booster and interplanetary stage. It is recommend to land on Ike first, use the remaining fuel in the interplanetary stage for most of the delta-V for landing on Ike. Take off and go to Duna, activate airbrakes and aerobrake to a low orbit or direct landing. Deploy the drogue chute at 15 km altitude, and then deploy the parachutes when speed is below 250 m/s, use engines to reduce landing speed to below 5 m/s. Stage off the science lab and rover when taking off Duna. You should have enough fuel to return to low duna orbit and from there return to Kerbin via a low-energy transfer window.

A stock rocket called Dunar 4.1. Built with 206 of the finest parts, its root part is mk1-3pod. Built in the VAB in KSP version 1.6.1.
