Description
The Arado can carry 3 Kerbals to Minmus/Mun Low orbit and back. Comes with RCS and Docking Port
The Arado’s key feature is its plow
which protects the command pod during re-entry even from Minmus, allows for high angles of attack and makes this spaceplane rather maneuverable.
To Orbit: Take off and maintain 15° pitch up until speeds stop increasing (1350-1375 m/s above 23 km altitude) then switch engine mode and close intakes.
Re-entry: Maintain <30° pitch up from prograde to push landing point down range or flip around upside-down and maintain <30° pitch down from prograde to pull landing point closer. Optimal aerobreaking is 20-25 km perigee, utilizing a 20° pitch up, to go from Minmus transfer orbit to 300-800 km apogee.
