Description

My second take at recreating the mighty soyuz rocket.

NOTE: this ship has an abort system. to activate the abort system, press ABORT. When clear of the vehicle, press ACTION GROUP 10 and then ACTION GROUP 9.

piloting manual:

1) before launch, create an empty stage at the bottom of the stage bar. Set the engine power to 75%

2) launch using normal staging. When clear of the launch pad, increase power to ~80% at 9 km, press STAGE again in order to detach the abort tower. You can still use the ABORT BUTTON after that, but you will need to cut the engines first. You should Aim at reaching an ark of about 80 km when your second stage cuts off.

3) when clear of the atmosphere, at about 75 km, press ACTION GROUP 1 to activate the ship’s systems.

4) press ACTION GROUP 2 to toggle orbital engines.

5) when deorbited and aproaching atmosphere, at about ~80km press ACTION GROUP 0 to prepare for landing. use RCS to oreint your pod in the right direction. When entered the atmosphere, press ACTION GROUP 9
