Description
This is a 100% stock representation of the BAE systems harrier, capable of taking off and landing at almost any location. It is capable of carrying up to four drop tanks (can be dropped using the space bar) on the vertical engines alone (2x Wheesley turbofans, toggled on action group 1), and can be easily replaced with any payload you wish.
Vertical takeoff: The forward flight engines (2x Wheesley turbofans again) are toggled by action group 2, and for a vertical takeoff it is recommended that after rising to an adequate altitude, you pitch forwards to around 5-10 degrees to avoid being forced into a vertical climb. Continue on both sets of engines until you reach 50m/s where you can then shut off the vertical engines.
Vertical landing: Immediately switch to the vertical engines and pull back to bleed off speed, try to keep your descent under 10m/s. Its is recommended that you activate the lights to judge your distance from the ground.
