The Albatross is an SSTO capable of carrying 4 passengers to Jool, and even landing on Laythe with, in this case 800 units of fuel to spare.

I’m by no means a great pilot, more experienced pilots feel free to modify these, but for now, here’s the quick and dirty guide to getting to orbit with ~2600m/s dV:

Takeoff from Kerbin:
1) 1 will activate all the air-breathing engines, when you reach 100m/s. Pull back to and hold at 20 degrees.
2)At 10km tap F to bring the nose down to 5 degrees and accelerate to 1500m/s.
3)Tap 2 and pull up to 30 degrees and let the engines burn to flame out. Keep the nuclear engine burning.
4) Set to face prograde, the orbit should take care of itself.

All action groups should be in the drop-down menu.

Many happy adventures!
