The Aircraft

The Antonov An-218 was a proposed long-range Airliner Project, that never made it into service due to a lack of funding. The aircraft was supposed to be able to carry 300-400 people with a range of 4500-9000 km. It would have required 2900 m of runway to carry a maximum payload of 42000 kg, which would add up to a MTOW of 170,000 kg. The plane was planned to cruise around 33,000-40,000 ft (10100-12100 m) with a Speed of 460-470 knots (850-870 km/h).
