In order to test the new ‘Kodiak’ rocket prototype, as well as their un-tested orbital tracking systems, the engineers at the Ranger Corps’ Woomerang flight test facility had Probodobodyne produce a rudimentary flight computer. The simple sphere-shaped probe core was equipped with several whip antennas and was used as a test payload for the ‘Kodiak-X’ prototype rocket. The payload was so rudimentary it had to be remotely hand-flown by a Ranger Corps pilot from the nearby underground control room.
