The EV-2A was a 2nd Generation command module designed for the early missions to the Mun. It featured a new pod capable of carrying 3 kerbalnauts, fuel cells for power generation, long-range communications, and a powerful engine. It was also the first launch system to feature an emergency abort system during launch. For it’s Munar landing missions, it was launched using the ‘Titan 5’ rocket configuration, with an LV-1A ‘Frog’ mounted in tandem below it.
