Description

Rocket 3.3 is an expendable, vertically-launched two stage LOX/kerosene rocket developed by Astra. It is designed to fit inside a standard shipping container and built to dramatically lower the cost of access to space. Rocket 3.3 first flown on 28 August 2021, where a single engine failure makes the rocket drifting horizontally for several meters off the launch pad before beginning to ascend vertically.

Flight instruction

I recommend you use mechjeb, but if you prefer to fly it manually you can follow this short instruction
1. Turn on SAS, full throttle and stage to start
2. Keep straight until you hit 1km in altitude, after that turn 5 deg to the vertical axis and click prograde.
3. Gradually turn as you fly, you should be around 20 degree to the vertical axis at 10km in altitude and 45 degree at 20km.
4. Coasting until you hit 85-90km apogee then circuirlarize
