A stock aircraft called Twin Boomer. Built with 140 of the finest parts, its root part is Mark2Cockpit.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.2.1.
Simple twin engined fighter, built with my new version of the SAS engine which uses 1.25m fairing as a housing instead of the structural fuselage. Plane is really easy to fly and and it is great for new players who want to learn how to fly SAS powered prop plane. Thanks to the new engines it is very fast with max speed about 179 m/s at low altitude.
You can use this as an example on how to build your own SAS powered airplanes. These engines can not be placed in symmetry, because of the buggy fairing will cause them to explode. That’s why when you have twin engined airplane like this you must place each engine separately without using the symmetry, and then rebuild each fairing.
- engage the brakes,
- press 0 to decouple the rotors,
- engage SAS on the plane,
- switch to the rotors, use Alt+E or Alt+Q to trim them all the way,
- switch back to the plane,
- disengage the brakes,
- takeoff at 40-45 m/s,
- at about 60 m/s switch to the each of the propellers and press 1 to toggle the blade pitch.
