Description
A stock aircraft called Helicopter Rotor. Built with 91 of the finest parts, its root part is stackPoint1.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.5.1.
Stock helicopter rotor with a working swashplate and collective. You can use pitch and roll for cyclic control, and brakes to control the collective.
The rotor works quite well but unfortunately for some reason it will only spin slightly faster than 7rad/s. So far I was unable to figure out why it is spinning so slowly, I’ve tried adding more engines and using the reaction wheels but nothing worked. It seems that this have something to do with the rotor blades, because if you don’t decouple the blades from the rotor then the rotor will be able to spin at much higher speeds. But then the swash plate and collective wont work.
Maybe someone will be able to figure this out, then we’ll finally be able to build proper helicopters.
