Description
A stock aircraft called Dunasoar Mk2. Built with 204 of the finest parts, its root part is Mark1Cockpit.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.4.3.
Dunasoar Mk2 is smaller, faster and more agile than its predecessor. It uses engines made by Squiddy, since at the moment my own similar engines are having some issues with the 1.4.3. update.
Maximum speed is 220m/s at low altitude and the plane can reach altitudes above 10000m, although I don’t really recommend flying it above 8000m.
To start:
- engage the brakes,
- press 0 to decouple the rotors,
- engage SAS on the plane,
- switch to the engines, use Alt+E or Alt+Q to give them full trim,
- switch back to the plane and disengage the brakes,
- takeoff at 45-50 m/s,
- after takeoff switch to the engines and press 2 to enable all of the reaction wheels on the engines,
- at about 100 m/s switch to the engines and press 1 to toggle the blade pitch.
To land:
- find nice flat area preferably at low altitude,
- switch to the engines, use Alt+X to reset the trim,
- switch back to the plane, then make a landing approach,
- deploy the flaps to reduce the speed,
- horizontal speed for the landing should be ≤ 70 m/s,
- vertical speed should be ≤ 5 m/s,
- just before the touchdown deploy the brake chute,
- after landing switch to the engines and press 2 to disable half of the reaction wheels on the engines, this is to prevent the blades from hitting the ground on the next takeoff.
