Description
The name stands for Little Rocket
. I picked this name because this craft is way smaller than an actual Soyuz, which stands for Union
. The letter seven comes from the R-7, the real Russian lifter that evolved into the Soyuz.
So, this is my Soyuz-wannabe. It is not a replica of it because the core stage doesn’t use that iconic cluster of 4 engines, I had to put a Vector there instead, the rocket was lacking thrust and control without it. Anyway, this rocket can lift a 3-man spaceship with 2500+ m/s of dV left for various orbital manoeuvers. The spacecraft is meant for station-to-station, Kerbin-to-station, station-to-Kerbin crew transfers and also cargo transportation if you want to swap the capsule with a cargo bay or something you need to transport.
