Description

A stock aircraft called Grumman F-14A Tomcat. Built with 341 of the finest parts, its root part is MK1Fuselage. The Grumman F-14A Tomcat is a 4th generation fighter/interceptor made for the USN as a replacement for the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom, a delta winged fighter from 1960.

With Soviet supersonic bombers threatening the USN and its defense capabilities, the F-14 was made to go fast and carry the advanced AIM-54 Phoenix missiles to shoot down the bombers. But the navy not only needed an interceptor, but also a better fighter for dogfights. After numerous proposals and prototypes, the F-14 was selected for the contest in 1969 and entered service in 1974.

Now, we all know that the Swing Wing is something you need on an F-14, but unfortunately mine isn’t that great. You can swing the wing mid air and on the ground, but the plane flies much better with fully swept wings. However, a lot of time, thinking and maybe some stealing of other peoples solutions went into this plane. I thank everyone who made an F-14 here, you all made this possible to me. That being said, enjoy the aircraft!

Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.10.1.
