Description

This is my replica of the F-16. While I have already made one I decided to remake it. If you just want to fly an F-16 around and not care about the looks I would recommend my previous replica as it flies better.
1 toggle the afterburner and the Airbrakes run off the brakes action group
My goal here was to build a decent looking, kinda accurate F-16. I like to believe I achieved that goal.

History

The F-16 was developed as a compliment for the F-15. The Air Force figured that the F-15 alone wouldn’t be able to serve it’s needs as it would be too expensive.

General Dynamics and Northrop were selected to build prototypes for this contract, creating the YF-16 and YF-17 respectively. The YF-17 lost would later go on the become the F/A-18 for the Navy.

The F-16 would go on to become the most produced 4th gen fighter and would serve in 26 other Air Forces. It has been used in multiple conflicts such as the 2 Gulf wars or the US Afghanistan war.
