While the ASF edition of the Lancer focuses on countering airborne threats to local airspace, the Strafe edition of the Lancer is outfitted with anti-ground weaponry. Have a convoy of tanks making a beeline for vulnerable territory? Just send a group of Lancers, and the outfitted Vulcan cannons will tear through the vehicles in no time. Keep in mind, however, that the Strafe edition of the Lancer is, like the ASF edition, a Home Defense Craft. While the plane is more than capable of making forty or fifty kilometer trips – and back – it is not capable of flying long distances. At least not without using the fuel reserved for combat itself.
