XF-56 - Little Demon
September 27, 2045 - New Fighter Developed as Tension Tears the Curtain of Peace
by Larry Genette
The XF-56, also known internally by company memos as Chiroptera
, ant to the rest of the world (via leaks) as the ‘Little Demon’. XF-56 is the pre-production prototype variant of the F/F-56. It’s philosophy is simple, literally; stripping everything away, but the engine, wings, and it’s unique separate cockpit design. The gap in-between the cockpit and the fuselage (if you can even call it that), situates this fighter’s next ace: The Heavy-Chemical Laser.
This next generation weapon is fully integrated into the fighter design, such that it is it’s primary weapon.
This fighter has come to a head when the flames of war are trying to be stoked by arms companies. A false era of peace is teetering on the edge of total bloodshed. Igron and Kanigawa Industries have all been accused of destabilizing countries in order to fuel it’s multi-trillion dollar business. The previous intercorporate war resulted in a nearly worldwide collapse into chaos, before being stopped at the last minute by a united peace
military. Since then, the balance of power between the World Peace Organization and the Arms Companies has been razor thin.
Already, disorganized puppets, willing to work for either company, have been terrorizing cities and disturbing the general atmosphere of quiet and uneasy peace. The world cannot stand still in face of those boldly calling for war.
The World Peace Organization has also come under flak for it’s military procurement; accusations of corporate influence by arms companies are common. This may set the scene for a new all out war between corporates.
