A Fighter Fit for an Ace

This twin-engine, carrier based fighter/bomber was the ride of choice for many of the World’s most feared and celebrated Aces. Silber 1, Mobius 1, these aces past and present all flew this legendary fighter into battle, in skies above where wars were fought and tides turned by their appearance.

September 19, 2004 - North Point, ISAF GHQ

We were like sitting ducks. These were the words Thomas Gillian, a rear gunner of a Tu-95 bomber squadron, told me, about that fateful day. On that day, Erusia was merely inches away from victory. It was under theses conditions, that we were sent to attack their HQ. It would be the end of the war for me. Little did I know those dark blue skies hid a Demon within them. Gillian’s Bomber squadron was en-route to North Point, where ISAF’s HQ was situated. For the past few months, Erusia had built up enough momentum to completely invade the entirety of the Usean continent, and close to total victory.

It was during these perilous hours, when ISAF was on it’s last ground, when Mobius 1 was sent out as one final shot in the dark, to turn the tides of war. Their gamble payed off.

It was a generally peacefull mission up to that point. Quite ironic considering that this was the supposed final mission, to deal the final blow to ISAF. When we were up in the air over North Point, we saw on our radar a[n F-4] fighter. We thought ‘oh, just one fighter, it shouldn’t be too hard to deal with’. We were wrong. Left and right, our escorts fell down. I fired my cannon shots at him, frantically trying to take down this demon. Unfortunately, he got to me first, before I could do anything.

The missile he fired at us rocket the bomber up and down, before, it suddenly split in two. I miraculously managed to evacuate the burning wreckage, and not before getting one final glance at that fighter

I noticed it’s contrails draw dizzying circles in the air. I almost fell asleep, mesmerized by it’s pattern, when the icy cold waters of North Point woke me up in a shock.

I never got to see that fighter again, on account of my inability to fly with my comrades again. I fear to meet him again, so, I’ve been ground-bound the rest of my life!

Gillian now resides in now independent San Salvacion, where he is just an ordinary citizen. However, he is one of many to be influenced by The Ribbon Fighter’s glory, as he changed the tide of war, and the history of the Usean continent, forever.

May 28, 1995 - Belkan Priority Airspace B7R The Round Table.

Ever since Galm team left B7R, Belkan air superiority had caused chaos to the Round Table. Missiles and gun fire littered the clear blue sky, as contrails drew dizzying circles into the air. The tide of battle in this area had drawn closer to Belka. Aircraft debris scattered the mountains of B7R, as pilots downed one another in battle.

Allied air forces in the area were crippled. It seemed as though Belka would once and for all take Area B7R for themselves. Into this mayhem, Galm Team were dispatched to, to deal with the increasingly worsening situation.

The two F-15s weaved through the sky. One by one, Belkan fighters began to drop from the sky. When the last of these fighters left the aerospace, it seemed as though the chaos had subsided. The blue sky was peaceful, clear of any contrails, except those of Cipher and Pixy.

5 Aircraft approached the round table. Sortied to settle the mayhem caused by Galm Team, Dietrich Kellerman, an academy-trained ace, and his students approached the area.

I sent those nuggets into that mayhem. It was to be their final lesson.

Kellerman’s equipment was behind, his F-4E Phantom burdened by extra weight and limited maneuverability. However, his expert training, and years of experience in the sky, had made his fighter proven to be a worthy opponent in battle

My academy was well regarded, among friend and foe. That’s why they sent me into battle. I had turned the tide of war in foreign skies, and they knew I could turn the tide of battle in B7R.

One-by-one, my apprentices were downed. The Demon Lord shot them down with such efficiency, I had no time to worry about my pilots. I had to think about myself now.

Missile alerts blared in my cockpit. Quickly, I pulled the stick back. I maneuvered quickly enough to shake off the missile, but he was still on my tail. No matter what I did, his fighter was always behind me. Once I exhausted all my maneuvers, and the Demon Lord was still on my tail, I knew my time in the skies was up. Before his missile could slam into my Phantom, I ejected

As I fell down into the rocky mountains of B7R, I scanned the sky for the Demon Lord, but I couldn’t find him. he vanished, without a trace of him left behind

Dietrich Kellerman is now a farmer, long retired from his academy. The loss of 4 of his students, in the skies above B7R, would convince Kellerman to never pursue flying anymore. Ever since that fateful day over The Round Table, Kellerman has never returned to the skies.
