The Demon of the Round Table

“Beware - we are about to meet the Demon of the Round Table” Sorcerer One declared to his wingmen. Their fighter jets were about to enter Belkan Priority One Strategic Airspace B7R - The Round Table. Behind their jets’ contrail, Avalon, their hope for a new world - a world with no boundaries. 8 jets joined Sorcerer One, as he pushed evermore into the clutch of the Demon…

The sky was calm, yet dark and moody - as if to hide a secret within its thick and mysterious clouds. This piece was broken apart by the roar of jet engines, their screeches echoing through the desolate plains of B7R. Some pilots still stranded in the bleak landscape of The Round Table noticed the formation of the eight F-15S/MTDs passing overhead. They wondered if the battle had returned to B7R once more. They wondered if they were about to meet the Demon Lord himself.

Two bogeys on the radar of Sorcerer One. His plane, happily maintaining a cruise, suddenly turned in to engage. His buddies followed suit. The G-forces pushed his body into his ejection seat, as his jet maneuvered 180 degrees, to meet the tail end of the bandit; The Demon’s plane. As his turn finished, however, he found himself head-to-head with the Demon Lord himself. Only inches separated the Demon and Sorcerer One. Their paths crossed in a 45 degree angle. His plane pitched up. The Demon’s plane pitched down. Then, as if from nowhere, a missile alert! Sorcerer One pitched up once more, and rolled a bit to the left. Yet, despite his maneuvers, the prey was still in the predator’s sight. This was a pilot who never let his prey get away…

Anthony “Bedivere’‘ Palmer lives a boring life, as an insurance salesman in the Osean capital of Oured. He sets down the phone on the receiver at his office job. He tells me it’s not an important call, but the look on his face told me otherwise. He was one of Osea’s most decorated aces in the last war; the Belkan War. As he told me his wartime stories, he began to talk about the Demon Lord of the Round Table. And I could have sworn, something lit up in his eyes.

One by one, Sorcerer One’s wingmen fell. The survivors on the ground scurried for cover, as the debris rained above them. And as he hung in the air, in his ejection seat, the skies turned to peace once more. In the distance, he saw a faint dot, fade into the horizon, He instinctively knew it was the Demon Lord. He was flying off to Avalon…

Hope all of you enjoyed that write up, which I promised one upload ago. This one was a fun one to write! I made it such that the point of view is no longer from Cipher himself, as by this point he has become so much of a myth himself that no one knows who he actually fought at B7R. This plane has pretty much the same controls as my F-15E Strike Eagle recreation, as it is pretty much the same craft. The most Gs I managed to muster out of this one was 23Gs.
