Top Gunner
With the new Top Gun movie (hopefully) around the corner, I though it’s best that I made perhaps the true star of the first movie; the Grumman F-14 Tomcat. It’s roots dating back to the F-111 Aardvark (VARK VARK VARK), the Tomcat would inherit the twin-engine, swing-wing philosophy of it’s ancestor.
Designed to carry long range AIM-54 ‘Phoenix’ missiles, and armed with the old-reliable M61 Vulcan gatling gun, the F-14 would be a formidable foe at both long and short distances.
