December 25, 1995 - Frozen Skies

Quickly rising up above the cold air of Valais Air Force Base, Ustio, Galm team are scrambled to intercept the coup d’état force’s colossal airborne fortress - XB-0.

Espada One’s radar lit up. Lighting up his engine, he and his wingman, Espada Two, turned to engage the fighters on his scope.
“Espada One to Espada Two, let’s bring down the Demon”
“Yeah!”

“These are allied Sapin fighters! Do not engage!”

Merging at high speed, Cipher’s aircraft approached head on against Espada’s. A missile struck Espada One’s aircraft, yet it appeared he could still fly. Despite being damaged, Espada One held it together, as he turned hard to meet the tail of the Demon Lord, the High-Gs almost passing him out. His stick now pulled all the way back, his Draken drew large clouds on its wings. Turning. Turning. Expecting to meet the tail of Cipher’s Eagle, Espada One hovered his finger over the trigger. Instead, he met head on with the Demon Lord.
“No!” the radio screamed.
A large explosion lit up the sky, then vanished. And from the ashes of the chaos and smoke, the wings of the Demon emerged victorious.

Gripping her flight stick as hard as she could, she maneuvered to take on the Eagle of Galm 1 herself. Noticing the bandit, Galm 1 circled to meet his opponent. Rapid contrails painted the sky in zig-zag strokes, as these two aces met face to face. And yet, time was running out. XB-0 would be out of range in just a couple of minutes. Fearless, Espada Two would not let Galm 1 force her into a mistake. A lucky break, and she was able to lock on to the Eagle. The missile launched, as she rang out “Fox 2!”. Galm 1 pulled up hard, his wings fogging up as the launched missile zoomed past him. Espada Two followed him in turn. One fatal error. Bleeding off all his speed in the High-G maneuver, the Rafale of Espada Two overshot right past him, into the Jaws of the Demon.

Espada One is now long gone. Despite being thought to be killed in action, he managed to survive his battle with the Demon himself. His wingman, Espada Two, now hides in a dive bar, from the civil war that has ravaged the country of Sapin for over a year.
“I said he couldn’t fly anymore. He insisted he keep his wings. Unfortunately, he died in a training accident, many years later”.
As she finished talking, I heard faint gunshots, and she ushered herself away. I haven’t seen her since.

This plane flies horribly. It looks good tho. Set throttle to 66% for max power (AGAIN: 100% throttle won’t makle the plane go as fast as 66%, that’s because of the KAL). Backspace launches the ejection seat. Please use it! I spent a while fine tuning the seat to work!
