Update: does not work in 1.4.x versions. The idea works, but the bearings don’t.

Description

A stock heli prop with a working cyclic swashplate. Instead of RCS balls tried using struts as bearing parts and it works great except for the absolute mess that comes with it (in ver 1.3 at least where you cannot move the other end).

Works upto about 20rad/s and can lift an okay amount. The uploaded craft has no tail rotor so you need to improvise something that does not end up in an instant explosion.

Needs a working collective pitch tail rotor. RCS as tail rotor tears the thing apart. The problem with non-reactive tail rotor is that the main rotor pitch control affects the torque and rotation speed - so either RCS or an actual working tail rotor.

The goal is to build a SAS flyable heli without any reaction wheels. Tail rotor design is a work in progress and this one needs cleaning & other improvements (strengthening the main bearing, different blade style testing).

Do not press undo (ctrl+Z) or it messes up the struts. I’ve flown this with infinite propellant & electricity and used ore as weights.

Built with 185 of the finest parts, its root part is structuralPanel2.

Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.3.0.
