Description

A stock replica of later iterations of the US Navy’s first swept-wing fighter, the Grumman F9F-8 Cougar. This aircraft had a respectable service life of 22 years serving as a carrier-based fighter, as well as with the Blue Angels Demonstration team. Additionally, it set a transcontinental speed record of 3 hours and 45 minutes on April 1, 1954.
This model has great low to mid-speed control response, cutting corners in the air as if on rails, max speed is barely subsonic in stable flight, reaching 330 m/s, similar to reality. The aircraft also exhibits low stall speeds, around 35 m/s.
