Details
- Type: SPH
- Class: aircraft
- Part Count: 122
- Pure Stock
A fully-stock turboprop helicopter. Designed to be usable and useful, she’s also a blast to fly. Not terribly speedy, but quite nimble. She has very respectable range and stamina, and with nearly 800kN of stationary lift, she can theoretically lift a sizable payload (untested).
She comes standard with a retractable cargo grapple for hefting slung payloads. The grapple is equipped with a red targeting spotlight to help line up targets.
Flight Manual:
Upon load-in, simply throttle up and stage to release the rotors.
AG1 toggles heavy lift mode. Use with caution (or reckless abandon, your choice).
AG2 toggles forward flight engines.
AG3 toggles grapple arm position (stowed/extended). Note that throttle reverts to 0 each time docking occurs. Be prepared to correct throttle when changing grapple position.
AG4 toggles arm/disarm on the Klaw.
AG5 toggle sprint mode. Activate sprint mode during forward flight for a temporary moderate increase in maximum speed. Cannot be used indefinitely (typically 3-ish minutes). Will eventually cause rotor failure due to overheating parts. Do not use in conjunction with heavy lift mode
AG6 toggles thrust reversers on forward flight engines.
AG0 toggles the parking break. Upon landing, use brakes to slow/stop rotors, then press 0 to engage the rotor lock. It is then safe to timewarp, switch craft, EVA, etc.
