Dependable, flashy, cool, and easy to fly, not usually adjectives that you find in the same sentence, this shuttle has it all! With sufficient fuel to do a VTOL takeoff, go to a stable 120 km orbit, reenter, and do a VTOL landing, this spectacular feat of engineering is the go-to shuttle for most of our customers.
Capable of accelerating while climbing straight up, and exceeding 1 kilometer per second in atmosphere, the Valkyrie can get your Kerbals anywhere in less time than you previously thought possible! Not to mention that it’s a freaking awesome plane to show up to parties in!
Jeb was not impressed that it had no weapons, but grew to love it after seeing how fun it was to fly. He pulled some pretty cool stunts with it, pushing the craft to its limits, even excecuting an upside down reentry that he’d seen in a movie, without exploding (barely), and buzzing the space center again and again. He stopped once Val told him it was a pretty quiet ship in VTOL mode, so his buzzing didn’t actually bother anyone.
Valentina, ever the planner, landed three shuttles at the island in case they needed to run from Jeb’s antics in the space center. Besides, they looked sheerly awesome hovering in the hangars in VTOL mode, and needed no runways.
