Description

A stock rocket called KRV MK I. Built with 45 of the finest parts, its root part is mk2Cockpit.Inline.

Built in the VAB in KSP version 1.11.0.

Versatile, inexpensive, SRB launched spaceplane. Holds 6 brave Kerbals and has a small amount of cargo capacity. This version has enough Delta-V to orbit the Mun and return. For Munar flybys, remove the ferry tank in the cargo bay and replace with more science, storage, or snacks. If you don’t care about the Mun and only want to go to space today, also remove the entire second stage and drop SRB thrust to ~65-70%. MechJeb is recommended for launch, if you wish to fly it manually, a fairing over the third stage is suggested.

After orbit, remember to deploy the canards or it will lawndart on re-entry. With the canards deployed it is quite easy to fly manually . Oxidizer only is loaded into the forward tank, LF only into the wings, LFO in aft tank. Twin 5 horn RCS blocks allow docking and orbital cargo deployment.

Recommended Action Groups:
1: Airbrakes
2: Fuel Vent
8: Deploy canards, open cargo bay, deploy solar panels and antenna
9: Retract solar panels and antenna, close cargo bay
Remove lower Airbrake from Brake action group so it doesn’t hit the runway.
