Description
Introducing the Kerbal In Space Simplest emergency ascender. The latest word in ultra light and inexpensive rockets for emergency escapes, or as a lander for the funds challenged space program. The KISS has a Kerbin baseline TWR over 1 and up to 1500m/s delta V depending on installed options. The display model includes such luxuries as a Jr. Docking port and solar panels, but those are deletable options for the frugal mission commander. Fully capable of orbiting a stray Kerbal from either moon of Kerbin, and even bringing one back to LKO from the surface of Minmus.
Properly trained Kerbals can even assemble the craft on site, and the baseline model fits in a standard KIS issue backpack (Backpack not included, extra cost option, mod required for use.) Also available with optional HECS probe control for rescue missions by removal of the reaction wheel. Attach a spare Oscar fuel tank to the docking port for round trips to the Munar surface.
A stock rocket called K.I.S.S. Built with 10 of the finest parts, its root part is miniFuelTank.
Built in the VAB in KSP version 1.11.1.
