Description

Horribly inacurate, easy to intercept, subsonic, all fair criticisms. But despite that, the GM-100 is the first missile requiring absolutely no operator interference from launch to impact. Thats right folks, using a mechanical gyroscope like guidance system, the ‘wanderer’, as its been nicknamed by missile crews, is able to climb, cruise, and touchdown all on its own. With a maximum theoretical range of 1000+ kilometers (accuracy error at such ranges may well exceed 50 kilometers), the 100 is enough to keep any would-be attacker at bay. It should be noted that while maximum range flights are possible, the missiles accuracy and reliability make attacks at a range greater than 2-300 kilometers impractical.

Specifications:

  • Range: High

  • Cruising speed: ~Mach 0.6

  • Payload: Any 500 kg warhead

  • Guidance: Gyro/Timer internal guidance

  • Cruising altitude ~2600 m

  • Service ceiling: ~8000 m

  • CEP: ~8000 m at 200 km range, ~60000 m at max range

Missile crew instructions:

  • Use the ‘J’ and ‘L’ keys to swivel the launcher until you are pointed at your target, once aimed, lock the swivel servo.

  • Activate action group 1

  • Right click on the missile’s left most KAL-1000 controller, titled ‘descent’, this controller will determine how far the missile will fly before it attacks its target. Set the controller play position to whatever desired for target distance: 3830 for 100km flight, 3550 for 200 km flight, 3210 for 300 km flight, leave at zero for max range attack (feel free to interpolate should a target fall between two distances)
