The Explorer capsule is a small space capsule engineered to be fully recoverable through the use of a deployable parafoil. The capsule is placed on top of a launch vehicle as any other capsule, except that after reentry it has no parachute, the deployable parafoil is used to allow the capsule to land like any other plane.

Flight instructions:

• The Explorer is placed on top of a rocket and launched as any other capsule.
• Before reentry, open the cargo compartment and move the kerbal from the capsule to the command seat, be sure to re-seal the cargo compartment.
• After the capsule has been de orbited by the (Not provided) service module, separate it from the service module and orient the capsule for reentry.
• Once the capsule is through reentry, point the capsule nose down and re-open the cargo compartment, the open compartment doors will act as fins to keep the capsule stable in flight.
• Right click on the kerbal in the command seat and deploy their chute at 5000 m.
• Once the chute deploys, the capsule should be able to fly as if it were a plane, be sure to extend the landing gear and have a safe landing!
