The Mirage III is a multirole fighter designed by Dassault Aviation in the late 1950s.

Although introduced in the 1960s, it has been widely used till the 21st century, many articles still being in use in recent times. It finds its origin in a demand by the French Armée de l'air for a natively-built supersonic aircraft. After multiple prototypes and improvements due to the increasing knowledge of aerodynamics and jet propulsion. The Mirage IIIC, destined primarily for interception, first took flight in 1960. The plane is the first of European conception capable of reaching Mach 2 in horizontal flight, the feat being acheived in 1958 on a Mirage IIIA pre-production model.

This replica can reach its real-life top speed of Mach 2.2. It is recommended to go up to 11km in altitude and use the rocket engine to gain mach speed, then accelerate horizontally. Landing and takeoff speeds are also similar to real-life performance, though stall is lower since there is no particular effect from the delta wing.
