TO BE USED FOR SHOWCASING PURPOSES ONLY
Album cover of Boston’s debut album known as Boston.
If you look just to the left of the blue flame, you’ll see the rest of the guitar.
I couldn’t find any other attempts to replicate this in KSP, although I can understand why. It would be a pain to get this inherently unbalanced craft airborne, let alone keep it semi-stable for more than five seconds at a time.
Description
You ever notice how the spaceship on Boston’s album covers looks like a giant guitar? Neither did I, until my girlfriend pointed it out - and now I can’t unsee it. How did I miss that?
Anyway, this is an attempt to make a giant flying guitar. Don’t expect it to fly high or far, especially due to an off-center COM.
A stock rocket called Boston UFO. Built with 47 of the finest parts, its root part is probeStackSmall.
Built in the VAB in KSP version 1.12.4.
Top view of the spacecraft in the VAB. It was tedious getting the headstock’s rockets’ thrust limit to one that won’t turn the craft upside-down in three seconds.
Overall, now you can see the resemblance to a guitar.
Top view of the craft as I attempt to keep it flying up while it kept spinning.
