Lander
The rover is delivered by the EV-61 powered-and-parachute(d) unkerbaled Lander, an amazing piece of Kerbal engineering providing solars and a powerful relay antenna.
A stage of its own, provides up to 2km/sec of Δv.
Now utilizes the revolutionary KickInTheCrotch™ landing leg detachment system (Action group 2):
