Capable of using thermal power in atmosphere. Fuel out of atmosphere and mono propellant for maneuvering. This shuttle serves many roles, created originally for satellite retirement and recovery. Multiple methods of docking craft, including KIS/KAS connectors in the cargo bay and spare equipment to attach them in the 0 seat of the cockpit. Easy to maneuver, re-enter, and land.
For re-entry, suggest 10 degrees above horizon steady til slowed to 1.3 km/second, then engage normal flight. Re-enter well short of KSC and you can fly it in the rest of the way as an atmospheric jet easily.
Suggest at minimum 1 GW of thermal input for thrust for the thermal engine using Interstellar power, 20 MW of thrust using Near Future scale power with interstellar.
Beamed/power and radiator wings are enslaved to thermal receiver and may be toggled into multiple modes for waste heat management. Bay supports a air-lock and in-line horizontal docking port. May be replaced with other docking ports as needed to accommodate a wide array of recover targets. Claw may also be placed in bay.
