Description
The CF-100 Canuck was a all-weather interceptor operated under NORAD to protect Canadian airspace from Soviet threats in all weather, day&night conditions. Although not designed for speeds over Mach 0.85, it was taken supersonic during a flight by test pilot Janusz Żurakowski in December 1952. the CF-100 is the only Canadian-designed fighter to enter mass production. In its lifetime, a total of 692 CF-100s of different variants were produced.
