Description

Luna 9 (Луна-9) was an uncrewed space mission of the Soviet Union’s Luna programme.
On 3 February 1966, the Luna 9 spacecraft became the first spacecraft to achieve a survivable landing on a celestial body.
Luna 9 was launched by a Molniya-M rocket, serial number 103-32, flying from Site 31/6 at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic.

How should the flight take place:

1) Take off exactly 3 km, then tilt the rocket a little.
2) To reset the side units after they have been disconnected, activate the stage. When their bottom part flies up a little - activate the next one.

3) Activate the stage to reset the central unit after it has been used

4) Drop the fairing, enter the reference orbit.

5) Are you in orbit? Drop the third step, you won’t need it anymore. Take the booster to the moon!

6) As soon as your trajectory begins to pass through the center of the moon, turn off the engine and enjoy the flight.

7) At an altitude of 500,000 m above the Moon, slow down a little.

8) Height 100,000 m? Brake much harder. (up to 60 m / s on the surface)

9) 20,000 m? slow down to almost zero and reset the booster and turn on the RCS.

10) At 3000 m, drop the equipment bays (activate a step). Switch the control point to the landing egg on top.

11) At the time of the collision, separate the lander.

12) As soon as the apparatus has stopped rolling on the surface, activate group 9 of actions.
