Inspired by the World War II Ho-292 German flying-wing, which was the predecessor to the B-2 Spirit. The B-292 is fast, extremely maneuverable, good for long distance bombing runs, and is very stable. Due to the high-lift that is associated with flying wings, the minimum take-off and landing speeds are rather low. Our over-paid, highly (in)-experienced, and underqualified test pilots here at Lockheed-Kerbman have found that, surprisingly, (not) the aircraft reaches greater speeds at higher altitudes!
