Description

The XAF-163 was designed as an experiment using multiple independent control surfaces to handle yaw and pitch. This produced an incredibly agile aircraft and some unexpected flight characteristics as well.

Originally called Valkyrie, because it sounds awesome, it was decided that using the name of a gigantic white elephant on which billions of duckets were wasted was not a great way to launch a new craft. A new name had to be found.

Pilots started calling it The Chicken due to it’s feathery appearance. Marketing thought that this wasn’t awe inspiring or scary enough (depending on your point of view) so they spiced it up, and thus the Thunder Chicken was so named.

Lev Aerospace - coming up with catchy catch phrases and marketing mottos.

A stock aircraft called XAF-163S Thunder Chicken (Stock). Built with 59 of the finest parts, its root part is radialEngineBody.

Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.3.0.
