SLPC-2 Simple Low Part Count craft
The SLPC-2 is a new, even less partful version of the SLPC-1 LKO cargo and docking craft - now with only 16 parts!

One obvious, glaring improvement that was pointed out to the ex-director of engineering was that the nose could be replaced with the shuttle cockpit, increasing its Kerbal capacity and monopropellant storage. The efficiency and frugality of using four tank/booster sections was also called into question, so they were replaced with two tanks and quad engine clusters instead.

Another ‘improvement’ is the addition of two airbrakes instead of a drougue chute. Due to the aerodynamic nature of the MK3 formfactor, it seems this design couldn’t slow down enough to deploy the drougue. The airbrakes can be deployed before entering orbit, slowing the ship down just enough to get the main chute fully deployed around 300 or 400 meters from impact. Really, we tested it, and at least one of those tests resulted in zero casualties, a success rate of 100% for that particular test!

It’s not very easy to fly, nor powerful, or even efficient. But it is simple, and did we mention that it’s made of not 18 but just 16 parts!? Lev Aerospace - making things even easier when things are too hard to do as easily, even when they aren’t that hard to begin with, again.
