Description
The xE-4l-2E is a Sweep Wing Experimental Prototype designed to test the effectiveness of new technologies used for creating moving assemblies within an Aircraft in the form of an All-Moving-Elevator, AME, assembly capable withstanding up to a 5g pitch maneuver and most rapid rolling on the Aircraft within flight. The other Assembly is the Prototype Sweep Wing Assembly, the combination of the light wings and the counter weights, the xE-4l-2E can adjust the sweep angle of its wings in flight encountering no mechanical and few aerodynamic issues or instabilities.
Make sure to autostrut the wings to lock them into position to reduce Flutter.
Armament Rails are due to be implimented during the next stage of development for the aircraft to allow for a broader mission profile.
The name xE-4l-2E comes from the aircraft being the Fourth Experimental Electronic Warfare Aircraft and a longer variant (l) after the Shorter variant was scrapped due to lack of demand and viability, 2 signifies the aircraft being in its Second Stage of development, and the E signifies the addition of a Livery and the AME assembly. JRL signifies the Livery on the aircraft being the Jolly Rogers Livery.
Currently there is no date on when the xE-4l will exit development nor how many Stages of development it will go through to reach Production and wide spread usage.
