Details
- Type: SPH
- Class: aircraft
- Part Count: 361
- Pure Stock
-Basic Description
This craft was an attempt to recreate the Boeing 747-100, one of the larger 747’s, as accurately as possible using stock parts. The craft is fairly accurate in both it’s dimensions and mass, it also preforms rather well. It’s about as maneuverable as you would expect, but it is also quite fast, nearly able to break the sound barrier at certain altitudes.
-Flight Information
Rotation Speed: 75m/s
Cruising Altitude: 9000 m
Max Speed at CRZ ALT: 273m/s (The real 747-100 has a max speed of only 268.6m/s even though it has more thrust ¯_(ツ)_/¯ )
Stall Speed: 60m/s
Maneuverability: Brick… Just Brick
-Known/Development Issues
-Tweaking every individual wing part such that there was no Z-fighting was a complete chore, that’s about it.
-Side Note
There is now a significantly improved version available here https://kerbalx.com/Kronus_Aerospace/Kronus-747-100-2-Andean
