Description
The KD-DWC is an aircraft specifically built to circumnavigate the world. It took an entire month and covered over 1,603,000 meters during it’s flight. The name of the aircraft that successfully circumnavigated Kerbin was given the name Spirit of Filbertsville
on the Livestreams by Raslad. The aircraft was given praise for the longevity of it’s famous mission. The flight was completed by KnightDaylight who built the plane and flew since August 19, 2020 to September 9, 2020 as an homage to the US National Aviation Day. The aircraft and mission was to reenact the famous Douglas World Cruisers mission, where the US was the first to circumnavigate the globe with aircraft.
