Description

Designs for a fighter that could take-off VTOL-style, and immediately go into battle resulted into the KD-278. An odd design for a fighter, it proved to be very manuverable and fun to fly. Nuclear powered, it can reach some fast speeds at all altitudes as it was built as an interceptor. It takes off and lands on it’s tail. Pilots would call it the Bumble-Bee because of the sound the twin-counter-rotating props breaking the sound barrier, causing a buzzing noise.

A stock aircraft called KD-278 Mk1. Built with 65 of the finest parts, its root part is Mark2Cockpit.

Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.10.0.
