Named after Ambrose Bierce, journalist, American Civil War veteran and the razor wit author of The Devil’s Dictionary.

This is one of my best planes. It was not even planned that way. I was experimenting with creating an exploded diagram aircraft (see Bierce, my other recent upload) and this just worked. I think I do better when I don’t try so hard.

FLYING:
The front canards are set around 14. The setting was 34 in the video, but that is a bit much if you are flying at speed. Make adjustments as you see fit. It is very reactive, but if you can get your head around it with SAS off, it is a hoot to fly.

ENGINES:
Currently has the Panther afterburners, which are great for low level flying. However, it has also been tested with the Ramjets and will happily do over 1300 meters per second at altitude. If you do swap engines, you may want to slide the ramjets in a bit; they hang out and are easy to knock off on takeoff.

I have not tried it with the Rapiers yet, but there is space for a bit of oxidizer for short hops in very thin air.
