Description
The Greenhayes Model 16 Cumulus
is a docile, easy-to-handle twin-seat glider ideal for beginner pilots. For best results, find a large mountain, such as those directly west of the default runway, and launch from there. The high aspect-ratio wings will allow for long flights hugging the mountainside, or shorter flights performing loops and wing-over stalls.
Some tips from test pilots:
- Get the wingtips level and off the ground early on takeoff!
- If you feel you need extra time aloft, or speed to perform a flashy maneuver, the Cumulus is equipped with 3 glide extension rockets that will give pilots extra options.
- Above all else, avoid going
low and slow
and generally you will find little harm.
