Description
A mod rocket called MUNER. Built with 19 of the finest parts, its root part is probeCoreHex.v2.
Details
This is the Mun Unmanned New-Ground and Exploration Rover or MUNER
Its about half a ton and 19 parts, making ideal for low cost unmanned missions. Tests on Kerbin showed that it was incredibly stable and could drive at about 12 m/s. Also the reaction wheel in the probe make it easy to flip back over.
It also has very good hill climbing. I was able to climb this slope with no problems except the handling problem I’ll mention later.
The circle on the right is landing craft and the one on the left is the rover
It does have a few handling issues. On the Mun, the gravity is weak enough that the reaction wheel can cause some issues. I had to turn it off, or the rover would flip over and destroy itself. Also I had to fiddle with the traction but I forgot to set that in the saved craft. Just mess around and see what feels right.
Here it is climbing a mountain
